Some more ideas:
Take control of mail catalogs.
Sign up at www.catalogchoice.org to stop receiving unwanted catalogs.
Create a spot in your home where you are most likely to flip through catalogs, and deposit catalogs there when you sort the mail. When you find an item you like, tear out the page, and then recycle the catalog. Place the torn-out pages with items you like in a folder called Wish List.
When you have some extra time and money for shopping, pull out your Wish List folder for perfect ideas.
Leave you gym bag packed and in your car.
Keep your a set of gym clothes and shoes and a supply of small toiletries in a bag in your car.
When you wash exercise clothes, return a set to the bag so it's ready to go when you want to squeeze in a workout.
Tame the beast of children's toys.
Invest in lots of plastic or canvas containers in various sizes for storing children's toys.
Throw out broken cardboard game boxes (or store them in the container along with the game pieces).
Food storage containers and zip lock bags are perfect for small parts See-through bins make it easy for children to identify toys.
Once toys are organized, consider putting some in the attic or storage area and pulling them out in a few months. Rotating toys in this way can make them seen new to the kids.
